Objective
To develop mastery and keen interest in the Chinese Language by focusing on enhancing communication skills, incorporating various cultural and literary works to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the language and creating opportunities for the use of the language through the use of contemporary issues and current affairs materials. This will thus enrich your child's learning and allow them to appreciate the importance and relevance of the language outside the classroom. The syllabus are designed in line with the Singapore Ministry of Education Chinese Language curriculum.
Secondary School Syllabus
Paper 1:
- Composition and Letter Writing - Organisational skills, elaboration of composition and letter writing.
- Oral Conversation - How to have a conversation with the examiner based on a short video clip as well as mock exams with video clips designed based on O Levels format.
Paper 2:
- Skills building on Filling in the Blanks and Choosing the Correct Chinese Phrases.
- Comprehensions - Answering of evaluative comprehension questions based on the theme of the passage.
All teaching materials, exercises, homework and mock exams are provided according to the level of the students.
